The 28th Annual Critical Issues Virtual Conference was the first virtual conference ever due to COVID. It has been a challenging year and Covid-19 prevented the Business Council leadership, and special guests from coming together at the Carson Valley Inn in September.
The Council pivoted and built an entire online conference spanning over 4 days. A place where all attendees could convene, chat, ask questions of speakers and participate in sessions from anywhere. Of course the fellowship, collaboration and networking can never be replaced but this was as close to it as possible.
We hosted an unprecedented number of speakers and events during the virtual conference providing .
The topics were wide and deep, discussing what it was like to host President Donald Trump in Minden at our airport, the impact Covid has had on Douglas County, what is the future plans at Harrah's and Harveys at Lake Tahoe under new ownership and leadership and so much more. What does the business climate look like in COVID and recovery.
Our Keynote, Executive Chairman of the Board of Caesars Entertainment, Gary Carano spoke to us for nearly an hour and left no stone unturned. If you wish to see the interview CLICK HERE.
It will be the best hour you have spent in a long time listening to the future in Douglas and Nevada and how they got here. A lifetime interview indeed.
After 4 mornings of sessions, awards, serious topics and some fun, What we came away with is YOU, our leadership can be trusted and will navigate our community to a better and prosperous tomorrow.
